Boiler Testing Changes

I have just started reading the new 7 1/4” news and seen the mention of changes to boiler testing. My club’ Boiler testers know nothing about this change and I have had a search online to try and find more about these but I cannot find anything either in this site, NAME or Southern Fed sited.

Can someone point me at more information?

The new boiler test codes were only finally agreed at a meeting this week.Main changes are volumes for under 3 bar.litre and testing of Gas Tanks.

Full printing will now take place. NAME and Southern Fed (as well as 16mm and Gauge 1) will be advising shortly how to obtain the new Orange books.

They will come into force now on 1st May.
