Contact details

How do we now contact one another through the societies web site? Am I missing something or have the contact details been removed for some reason.

Gerry, we had a long discussion about this in July. Scroll down the Forum 'miscellaneous topics' page to 'Member to member contact'.

It also came up at the AGM.

Suffice to say, it is an unsatisfactory state of affairs.!

Thank you, Martyn and George, I must keep up. It just makes it difficult to contact other members.

The committee are looking in to this problem. It is one of conforming with GDRP and of some members not trusting computer storage of any sort. However watch this space..
If you are desperate to contact someone else please contact me and I will pass your address on to them, assuming that their email address is on the society's files.

I like to be able to see if any new members living with in reach of our railway to invite them along, can't do that any more. Would have been the society thing to do I would have thought.

I have asked this question myself. Being also a member of the 16mm Asscotiation we have contact with our members as my partner is co-ordinator and me Secretary. Also we have a CD provided to members only with names and addresses so that we can contact them for steam ups and anything else that is required. Perhaps 7.25 would consider that option. We have a quarterly magazine plus a bulletin that comes with it for members only which has a lot of information regarding running of railways and who to contact.
Regards,
Gloria.

Bill, why not put an invitation in the 'Events' section of this web-site? You'd be surprised how far some people will travel.

Both 7¼" Gauge Society and 16mm N.G. Modellers Society had booklets listing members. Quite easy to keep safe in the bookshelf
