Plastic Sleepers

Hoping to use recycled plastic sleepers in the build of 1000 metres of new welded track. Can anyone inform of suppliers of this material, other than the ones shown in the columns of the 'NEWS'? Any advice on this subject would be very welcome.

BHME has both pnp and locally sourced recycled plastic sleepers. For easy if putting down I would pnp with their chairs. For cost locally sourced recycled were slightly cheaper but more labour intensive to lay.

In Norwich we are currently replacing our wooden sleepers with plastic purchased from a company in Leicester. Take a look at ecoplasticwood.com. We buy in 3 metre lengths and saw it to length. We are using turbo coach screws from screwfix. Yellow zinc plated 6 x 25mm. which seem to do the job well but we always use a pilot hole rather than drilling them straight in. Works for us so see what you think.
