Description

This is all steel construction, not a kit, she is not for the rivet counter being built to look the part rather than be a scale model. Both sets of doors open up to allow access and you can run with one side open as the prototype often ran. The whole body is hinged on one side so that you can tip it completely out of the way to get inside to service the internals.

Powered by an electric start Locin petrol engine driving modified 12v car alternator with a 1hp 12/24v motor driving via gearbox and chains to both axles. Controlled via a flying lead. The alternator is modified to allow speed control via the field windings, fitted with 200v diodes and will put out well over 24v. Geared for about 8mph at 24v shed would probably do double if you have a long track and are brave enough.
