No. 3, Francis Henry Lloyd is a freelance 4-8-4 of USA outline, built in 1959 by Trevor Guest and the apprentices of F.H. Lloyd and Co. for operation on the Hilton Valley Railway. Rebuilt by A. J. Glaze in 1970 No 3 was purchased by Clive Upton in 1990 from Weston Park Railway (having been transferred there after Hilton Valley Railway closed down). The locomotive then underwent a full restoration and considerable modification. The loco currently has a commercial 10 Year Hydraulic certificate that runs until 1st October 2031. The boiler tubes were new in 2021. The current steam ticket runs until 30th September 2027. All good mechanical order and fitted with Vacuum Brake and two live steam injectors the loco is ready to run. Comes with lots of historic paperwork and drawings. Offer around £25,000.
